The best buy we can come up with is through ALDIUM insurance who place breakdown cover with ALPS/UK.

As of Jan 20 you can purchase breakdown cover for £69 per year however you have to pay all of it up-front. That's just over £1.30p per week for roadside and recovery within the UK. European cover is available on request but of course costs more.

Caveats to the policy are limited call outs and non call out for reaccuring problems and if you cancel mid-term there is no premium refund.

​

One thing to be aware of is if you have a puncture and you don't have a serviceable spare, your breakdown cover provider will not come to your rescue. This applies to most Breakdown cover providers.
